On the heels of last week’s decision by the Fed to keep rates unchanged, mortgage rates dropped slightly last week, after four straight weeks of increases.
- 30-year fixed-rate mortgages: averaged 3.71 percent, with an average 0.5 point, dropping from prior week’s 3.73 percent average. Last year at this time, 30-year rates averaged 3.69 percent.
